The Return of Sailor Moon!

It might be time to Moon Prism Power once again and dust off your blue-pleated mini skirt. That's right, the original Magical Girl is slated to make a come back in 2013. Who can it be? It's none other than the one named SAILOR MOON!


Announced in July 2012 by both publisher, Kodansha and idol group Momoiro Clover Z, the new Sailor Moon anime series has been planned for a summer 2013 release.

Details are not confirmed at the moment, but original seiyuu, Kotono Mitsuishi (Sailor Moon/Usagi) and Tohru Furuya (Tuxedo Kamen), have mused and hinted at their possible return to their iconic roles. Momoiro Clover Z has also been attached to the project, having made their announcement during a live event that celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Sailor Moon manga. It is not known whether they will be performing a cover of Sailor Moon's original theme song, Moonlight Densetsu, or an original composition.

While no broadcast details have been finalised yet, there are plans for a simultaneous world-wide release. Let's keep our fingers crossed!
