Rider Ruckus: SIC Kamen Rider OOO - TaToBa Combo!
Imagination is a good thing - especially when it comes to Kamen Riders!
Our topic for today is a long-running line known as the Super Imaginative Chogokin. Running for more than 10 years now, the SICs are basically what the name implies - figures of various Kamen Rider figures, but re-imagined and hyper-stylised!
This results in heroes that while still recognisable as your favourite flying-kicking fellows, look far more "edgy" and organic; often times far meaner and intimidating than they look in the show! Packed with near-insane levels of intricate detailings, the SICs also stay true to the "-gokin" part of their name, in that they possess metal parts as well!
Kamen Rider OOO here comes to us in his default TaToBa Combo. For the uninitiated, that stands for Taka (Hawk), Tora (Tiger) and Batta (Grasshopper) for the head, body and legs. In typical SIC-fashion, OOO is presented to us in a much more organic look, with loads of additional engravings in the armour, as well as exaggerated proportions not found on the actual show's suit design!
SIC is also known for providing a good spread of accessories, and OOO is definitely no slouch in that either! Aside from his removable OOO scanner, medals (DON'Â’T DROP THEM!!) and trademark Medajalibur sword, OOO also comes with a MASSIVE pair of tiger-claws for you to swap out!
To put things even more over the top, the SIC OOO includes an accessory that nearly every other collector-based figure leaves out - his Grasshopper legs to recreate his high jumps!!
Amazing detail, plentiful accessory count, and die-cast metal, it's little wonder why SIC remains a popular line amongst collectors, and why Kamen Rider continues to be its most endearing property. We can't wait to snap ours!
TaToBa! TaToBa, Ta. To. Ba!!!!!
