Serene Reviews: K-Palette's Cosmetics!
Just a couple of days ago, my friend and I were at anibee's office to prepare for a mini video shoot! It's a shoot to try out a Christmas look (all credits goes to Serene, my friend and make up artist for the day) using some new products that K-Palette has sponsored! You can check out our makeover video here! I was fortunate enough to be able to bring them home and try them again on my own, without Seren's assistance.
The products that I received from K-Palette were:
- Real Lasting Eyeliner 24h (Waterproof Superblack)
- Real Lasting Eyepencil 24h (Waterproof Superblack)
- 24h Real Lasting 2-way Eyebrow Liner (Chocolate Brown)
- 1-Day Lash Perm Long Curl Mascara
- K-Palette Shiny Star Eyeshadow
- K-Palette Zero Kuma Cover Control Concealer Type 1
- K-Palette Oil Control Zero Teka Matt Powder SPF 15
First up is the 24H Waterproof Real Lasting Liquid Eyeliner! :D
I normally don't use liquid eyeliner but this is definitely something I'd make an exception for! The tip of this liner is nice and fine, and it'll definitely maintain that way even after multiple uses (unlike some other liquid liners that I've used, where the tips aren't as thin as I've thought). This sharp but smooth tip makes it very easy for me to glide this eyeliner on, and according to how sharp I want my eyes to be. :>
It also makes life easier when we want to draw something on our faces (some kind of intrinsic pattern of some sort) because of how fine the tip is! Loving this eyeliner now <3
Next up is the 24H Real Lasting Eye Pencil!
I'm more of a pencil eyeliner user even though many say they don't like to use it due to its bluntness. I find it rather handy so I'm definitely a little biased here! XD Surprisingly, this pencil liner isn't as blunt as I thought it'd be. I've used quite a few pencil liners, and so far this is the sharpest pencil liner I've used! It's the rotatable kind so even though you can't sharpen it, it's still useful for drawing the base for your eye make.
Third comes the Lasting 2-way Eyebrow liner!
I've never used liquid eyebrow liner before (until the shoot)! I usually only use pencil brow liners, because it's denser and it shows up really easily. Liquid brow liners aren't my type, but they're not as "heavy" as pencil liners. This makes it perfect for people who don't like to overly emphasise their eyebrows, but still want to shape and make them stand out a little.
The special thing about this eyebrow liner is that it's 2-way! This means that there're two sides to this liner - one is the liquid side, and the other is the powder side. The liquid side is more compatible with my hair colour. If I'm not wrong, the powder side is used to set the liquid one after you've drawn your brows on, but you can use it separately on its own as well. :)
Next is the 1-Day Lash Perm Mascara!
As per stated on the packaging, this mascara will last around 24 hours if you don't touch it! It's pretty lasting, and can be easily removed by using proper oil based make up remover or warm water. Normal room temperature water won't affect it or make it run because it's waterproof! So that means when you cry with this mascara on, you'll still look fine. XD I tried this mascara on during the shoot, and boy did my lashes grow longer. O_O
Of course, not in order of application of make up, we have the Shiny Star Eyeshadow!
It's an earthly toned palette with 4 shades of brown! Might appear a little boring to some people, but if you know how to work with earth tones well, it can be a palette that will give you a great look! I'm not really good with eyeshadows, but I've seen how my friends can look really good with just eyeshadows! I should really start learning how to apply eyeshadows properly to work with these sparkly shades of brown. =w=)b
And here we have the K-Palette O kuma Concealer Type 1!
This is a liquid based concealer. :) It's my favourite kind of concealer even though some friends say liquid concealer tends to clump and cake easily. ;___; To each his own I guess? ^^ This concealer helps to conceal my eye bags and blemishes pretty well. Not a bad concealer, but nothing too out of the ordinary for me. o_o
Last but not least, the Oil Control Teka Mat Powder SPF 15!
It's more of a powder to set your base and concealer, NOT a foundation powder! This one is in SPF 15, slightly lighter than what I'd normally use (SPF 20). But it has a really, really nice finish! It's not called a "mat" powder for nothing. XD I like how compact it is, and how nicely it sits on top of the rest of the base make-up. Definitely something I'd use often for setting make up.
All in all, we've gotta thank K-Palette for sponsoring these lovely make up products! Be sure to check out these products in Watsons and give them a try! :)
