FLOWER POWER

We might have just missed Japan's spring last month but thanks to our perpetually spring/summer climate in Singapore, it's still not too late to catch up and master the latest spring trend.

What's spring without some floral prints to match with Japan's cherry blossom season?

Floral prints have been sported in almost all the fashion shows from blazers to hair accessories to shoes. Every item wearable has been going floral crazy!

Be experimental and try these floral printed jeans, hoodie or blouse. While it is not easy to perfect the look, the key is to keep your outfit simple. If you're going with the floral jeans, choose a plain simple top to avoid looking like a 'full grown flower'. Too girly for you? Try incorporating a studded vest for that sweet punk chick look. Avoid looking like a fashion disaster by going full floral, unless you're very confident of carrying off that look - they mostly work on runway models.

If you'd rather play it safe, a simple floral dress works just as well to bring out the sweet side of you. It can be paired with a cardigan to complete a sweet girly look or a biker jacket for some spunk. It's a versatile look that suits everyone!

Here's an example of how floral headbands can make a plain outfit more interesting depending on what look you're going for.
