The FINEST Piece of Obsession!

IF THIS ISN’T A GOOD ENOUGH HINT OF THE THEME OF THE EVENT, WE DON’T KNOW WHAT IS.

Just as how the sailing ship of the adventurer is bound to cross paths with a memorable land once again, J-Obsession returned (from the 22nd - 24th February) for another round of goodness!

With One Piece as its main theme to coincide with the Singapore release of One Piece Film: Z, fans were treated to a very special One Piece Cosplay Competition on Saturday.

In an instant, audiences were treated to a visual spectacle of colours, craftsmanship and character, as contestants strutted their stuff on stage dressed specifically as their favourite cast member from One Piece.

In the end, it was Sabrina Wong's interpretation of Tony Tony Chopper that won the judge's votes - and everyone's hearts!

But others weren't left out of the fun either, as Sunday bore witness to the Open Category Cosplay Contest - where variety was king! All bets were off as competing cosplayers came from all sorts of franchises to duke it out for the top prize.

In the end, it was Jas & Invinc's original, movie inspired skit as Kenshin & Saito (Rurouni Kenshin) that simply took everyone's breaths away with its tight choreography and character-filled dialogue!

Of course, J-Obsession wouldn't be J-Obsession without a chockfull of band performances. The very best in J-Rock, Pop, R&B and of course, Anisongs, were played by over a dozen of the community's finest indie bands and solo artistes - and rocked the house down (not literally, we still want to be back next year)!

SERENE 'S STILL ROCKING - EVEN IN HER PJS!

Music, Cosplay, and all around good fun - now that's the right way to obsession!
