The Japanese love their festivals - it is said that there's always at least one going on in Japan. So, Japanese-pop culture lovers in Singapore donned yukatas or casual clothes and went to celebrate summertime at Scape Gallery on 14 August. Once only experienced through anime, there were lots of things to do: origami, yoyo balloons, scoop, shooting, Bon Odori, Omikuji+Ema, and performances.

No festival is complete without talent competitions. Many vied for Haru prizes in Taiko Drumming, Best Dressed Yukata, and Japanese Karaoke. Notably, Eileen Yi won the Japanese Karaoke with her amazing rendition of Don't Say Lazy.
